Horizontally Opposed 4-Cylinders Engine

Acceleration is produced by an engine with D-4S direct injection technology. It is highly responsive right off the line and delivers smooth acceleration from low to high RPM ranges without any jolts.

Aerodynamic Performance

Through wind tunnel testing and extensive testing on the actual vehicle, excellent steering response and stability, including front tire contact feel and rear stability of the vehicle has been achieved.

Lightweight, High-Rigidity Body

An increased use of high-tensile steel plates, aluminum materials for the front fenders, engine hood, engine undercover, and roof were used in order to achieve a thorough lightweight design.

6 Speed Manual Transmission

Reduces the sticky feeling when shifting between second and third or shifting diagonally. The light, sporty shifting feel conveys to the driver’s hand the moment when the gears are meshed, providing a solid sense of control and the pleasure of being able to control the car exactly as desired.

Front & Rear Suspension

Equipped with a lightweight and highly rigid MacPherson strut system, the front suspension utilizes a layout that provides a “low center of gravity” and “low inertia” in order to maximize the potential of the “Horizontally opposed engine + FR” system.

Torsen LSD

Appropriate torque distribution to the left and right drive wheels during cornering improves traction performance, resulting in sharp and responsive acceleration out of corners.

TRACK Mode

Track mode can also be called “training mode”, which is tuned to support the turning motion of the vehicle by reducing its spinning behavior, also allowing the driver to control the vehicle within a range of motions at extreme limits.

Ultra-Low Center of Gravity

Constructed to achieve a low center of gravity, low inertia, compact size, and light weight. Ensuring interior space for four passengers and delivers handling fitting for FR sports cars.

Design

Exterior

Based on an extremely low center-of-gravity front engine and rear-wheel-drive layout, the hip-point of the vehicle helps lower the center of gravity and enhance cornering. The body rigidity was enhanced to maximize handling performance and bring you driving pleasure in any speed range.

Interior

The interior features a bold black and red theme, with Ultrasuede seats accented by red perforations for a sporty feel. Leather side bolsters provide a premium touch, while red stitching adds striking contrast. An exclusive red carpet completes the dynamic and luxurious atmosphere.

Technology

EyeSight

A technology that boasts advanced recognition performance, using wide-angle stereo cameras to identify other vehicles, pedestrians, and lane markings, and taking advantage of wide viewing angles, visual distance determination, and color imaging that can recognize brake lamps.

8-Inch Display

The center of the instrument panel contains an 8-Inch display with audio and smartphone linking functions. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for connecting to smartphones.

Heated Leather Seats

All 4 seats are made of luxurious leather material, with the driver and front passenger seats equipped with heating.

Advanced LED Headlamps

The LED headlamps come with both an Adaptive Front-Lighting system (AFS) and Auto High Beam function (AHB).

Safety

Adaptive Cruise Control

On highways and freeways, EyeSight reduces the need for frequent accelerator and brake operation by maintaining a constant speed or by following the vehicle ahead.

Pre-Collision Braking System

The system recognizes pedestrians and oncoming vehicles and alerts the driver if there is a risk of collision. If the driver immediately activates the brakes, strong braking assist is produced. If the driver performs no collision avoidance, brake control is applied to assist collision avoidance or mitigate damage.

Pre-Collision Throttle Management

The car is prevented from exiting parking spaces too quickly due to improper use of the gear shift or accelerator. This function works in both forward and reverse. The car also has a “reverse speed limiter” that allows the driver to set a maximum speed for backing up.

Reverse Automatic Braking

While backing up, the driver is alerted in stages about the potential for collisions behind the car. If the driver performs no evasive maneuvers, EyeSight facilitates backup collision avoidance by controlling engine output and braking.
