Kurdistan Region, Duhok - September 20, 2025

On September 20, 2025, Toyota Iraq inaugurated its new Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Center in the city of Duhok, marking a strategic step that reflects its vision for advancing the automotive sector and enhancing service efficiency for customers across the country. The center serves as a vital link in the company’s integrated operations, where vehicles undergo thorough inspection and preparation processes to ensure their full readiness prior to delivery.

The new location allows for greater agility in meeting the growing demand for Toyota vehicles, while also strengthening distribution speed and technical precision. This project not only improves logistical performance but also underscores the company’s long-term commitment to deepening its presence in Iraq and delivering added value to the local market through advanced infrastructure that supports sustainable growth.

The establishment of the Duhok PDI Center represents a quality investment that reflects Toyota Iraq’s vision of reinforcing its economic footprint and laying solid foundations for the local automotive sector. The project enhances the company’s operational capabilities and demonstrates its commitment to channeling global expertise and investment toward expanding services and optimizing supply chains—making every step, from source to final customer, faster, more cost-efficient, and higher in quality. This direction opens new horizons for industrial development and supports the Iraqi market with modern resources that raise service standards and meet rising customer expectations.

Together, the Duhok and Erbil centers form the backbone of Toyota’s national distribution network, covering around 70% of vehicle demand in major cities. Both centers adopt the latest inspection and preparation technologies, which boost operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact through sustainable practices. Additionally, the project contributes to stimulating the local economy by generating both direct and indirect job opportunities, adding community value alongside its industrial role.

In his remarks on the occasion, Mr. Tadashi Tanimoto, Executive Director, said: "The opening of the PDI Center in Duhok reflects our deep commitment to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. We see this project as more than just an expansion of our operations; it is a promise to enhance our operational efficiency, deliver reliable service to our customers, and support the local community by creating real job opportunities, while continuing our commitment to environmental stewardship."

The inauguration of the Duhok PDI Center marks another milestone in Toyota Iraq’s journey toward elevating customer experience and developing the automotive sector in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. This investment strengthens the company’s position as a trusted provider of integrated solutions that foster economic growth and address the evolving needs of the Iraqi market in an innovative and responsible manner.
